![]() Teams is a group based file store (and chat and planning) for collaoration with teams where the files remain as long as the team does, memebrs can come and go and the files stay in the team regardless. ![]() ![]() Most people use sheets but users of Excel usually don't know about all the features and rarely use them. Sharepoint itself has far more controls and features, a loose analogy is Google sheets vs Excel. It's still a personal file share and users shoudl treat it as the place to store their files whether working alone or sharing with colleagues, but they still own them.Īlthoguh ODfB is built on Sharepoint the managent tools treat it seperately (it's a bespoke SP site for every licensed user) and it gets binned when you delete or de-license a user. ODfB is a glorified Sharepoint site with easier(?) options for simple file sharing and management. Onedrive (personal) is not OneDrive for Business. The problem is ultimately when the owner leaves the "team" the files get removed and the team don't understand why. This is because the case concept is a personal file box but the sharing features allow it to almost act as a Team filestore.
